Φ

Φ is a science-based card grading service developed and operated by a PhD scientist in Toronto, Canada. Where traditional grading relies on human visual inspection, Φ uses objective, reproducible measurements to evaluate and rank your card.

What Φ measures

Built on laboratory-grade 3D surface scanning technology and rigorous statistical analysis, Φ measures: + Surface and edge quality: indentations, scratches, irregular reflections, and print defects quantified at micrometer resolution. + Centering and alignment: measured at ~0.09–0.17mm precision. These are combined into a composite, multi-dimensional Φ score that captures your card’s condition.
